Safeguarding Basic Awareness: E-learning

The Essex Safeguarding Adults Board (ESAB) now offers an online basic awareness training package consisting of approximately 2 hours of core study material.

Learning Outcomes: 
By the end of the training delegates will understand:
  • Background to adult safeguarding
  • Signs and indicators of abuse
  • Roles and responsibilities of agencies
  • The procedures for reporting abuse
  • The programme links to useful documents, procedures and forms and concludes with an on line assessment which provides a random selection of questions taken from a comprehensive question bank. User results will be recorded for management information and learners will receive a summary of their achievement.

Duration: Approximately 2 hours.  This needs to be completed in one sitting,
